Black-Owned Brooklyn’s 2022 Holiday Guide

THE PROJECT

Cynthia and Tayo Giwa, founders of Black-owned Brooklyn, tasked me with creating the HERO images for their annual digital gift guide — a curated collection of gifts from BIPOC brands. The ask was simple: create images in my signature art style that feel like the holidays, but don’t feel like Christmas.

So, I leaned into bridging the gap between Kwanzaa, Christmas, and Hannukah thru my signature use of blue skies, plants, and gold halos. My friend and creative collaborator, Curt Saunders, provided the photography featured in each image.
